It can only get better from here.

Individual therapy and social work for adults.

Turning pain from the past into power for the future.

Located in Ohio and available virtually.

Do you feel like the world was not built for you?

Do you feel like you never have enough time or energy?

I can help you clear up your schedule and mental state. We can work on setting boundaries with distractions and getting you to spend more time off your phone. We can build healthy habits like drinking more water, smoking less, eating more nutritious meals, and practicing yoga, stretching, or qigong.

You will start to fall in love with reading, writing, and alone time. It will feel easier to streamline your kitchen and closet to freshen your style and let go of what no longer serves you. If you are reading this it means you have already started to do the work, so good job!

Are you feeling totally overwhelmed?

We live in a big, broken system.

It is too easy for marginalized people to fall through the cracks. Practicing good self-care can seem so secondary when we must juggle school with employment with caring for loved ones and keeping up with housework. Together we will use coping skills, de-cluttering, and time management to put yourself first and improve productivity.

Meet Ziggy (that’s me!)

Licensed Independent Social Worker

ey how ya doin?? I was born and raised in New Jersey, only one train stop away from Manhattan, and I have the accent to go along with it. I went to Stockton University for my BSW in 2015 and Rutgers University for MSW in 2019. I passed my independent exam in 2023 and started my private practice that same year. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Ohio Counseling Association.

It can feel overwhelming to just start talking about life, so I support my clients in creating timelines, family trees, expressive art, and journals. I like to think I am good at understanding things or figuring things out. I’ve been told I am insightful, intelligent, and able to see what others cannot.

Authenticity is important because it helps me connect with others. Connection is important because I like being able to help people and make them laugh. Helping people is important because I like to make a difference.

I live with fibromyalgia and I have a lot of tattoos, piercings, and body modifications. I have been vegan since 2013 and I am happy to share aspects of identity that feel good. I worked at Hot Topic in the mall for 10 years. I enjoy punk, ska, emo, and alternative music from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s. I live with my partner, dog, and our two cats.

 FAQs

  • If you’re a new client, please schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to determine if I am a good fit for you.

If you are a returning client interested in scheduling, please email me at ziggy@altandrotherapy.com.

  • I am currently in-network with the following plans:

    -Aetna
    -Anthem | Elevance
    -BlueCross and BlueShield
    -Carelon Behavioral Health
    -Cigna and Evernorth
    -Oscar Health
    -Oxford
    -UnitedHealthcare UHC | UBH

I use Headway to communicate with them. It’s important to know that just because you have in-network insurance, this likely does not mean you will not have any out-of-pocket cost for sessions. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to fully understand your coverage. I know navigating insurance can be a pain - but Headway is usually pretty helpful!

If I am out of network with your insurance company, your insurance may offer out of network benefits, which means you can see me and get reimbursed by your insurance company for therapy session costs.

As much as I would love to take on Medicaid / Medicare / Tricare clients, I am not in network at this time.

  • At this time I am offering sessions via telehealth only. I facilitate sessions through a HIPAA-compliant portal which you can access via your web browser or on the Psychology Today app.

  • I have a cancellation policy in place which protects the time set aside for you. All cancellations require 24 hours notice. Please call/text (380)-243-2592 or email ziggy@altandrotherapy.com. You can also cancel your session through the Headway portal. Cancellations outside the 24 hour window will charged be a full price of $100. It will be free to reschedule to another time during the same week.

My cancellation fee is in place for a few reasons:

It allows me to keep my schedule more consistent, which allows me to in turn show up more grounded and centered for my clients. It allows me to better allocate my time for trainings, continuing education and planning that helps me to support my clients. It is important to me to keep a caseload I can serve well, and to not overbook myself. The cancellation fee is in no way punitive or an assessment of if a client has a “good” reason to cancel.
